Manufacture
At Structural Stairways, our skilled in-house production team brings extensive experience working with both ferrous and non-ferrous metals. All team members hold welding qualifications to BS EN 287 standards, ensuring the highest levels of quality and compliance across every project.
We operate from a purpose-built, 10,000-square-foot manufacturing facility, fully equipped to handle complex fabrication requirements. The workshop features overhead crane systems and a comprehensive range of modern machinery, including advanced welding stations, saws, shearing and punching tools, drilling units, and bending equipment.
To support high-quality finishes, we also maintain a dedicated non-ferrous polishing shop, complete with grinding, linishing, and polishing tools. This allows us to deliver precision-engineered components with exceptional surface finishes, ready for installation or further treatment.
Our investment in both skilled personnel and state-of-the-art equipment enables us to meet demanding specifications while maintaining efficiency, consistency, and craftsmanship at every stage of production.
Design and Technical
At Structural Stairways, we offer a dedicated in-house design team with extensive experience in delivering tailored solutions for the construction industry. Our designers work with the latest 2D and 3D CAD software, fully integrated with Building Information Modelling (BIM) capabilities, allowing us to collaborate seamlessly with client design teams throughout every stage of a project.
This advanced digital approach enables us to engage early in the design development process, ensuring clear communication, accurate coordination, and alignment with the project’s technical requirements. Whether working with traditional drawings or complex BIM environments, we adapt to all levels of technology to support efficient project delivery.
Our goal is to provide fully compliant, practical, and value-engineered solutions that maintain the integrity of the original design intent. By combining technical precision with creative problem-solving, we help bring architectural visions to life—safely, efficiently, and on budget.
Transport
We take pride in offering a reliable and professional delivery service. All deliveries are carried out using our own fleet of well-maintained vehicles, including those fitted with Hiab cranes, allowing for safe, efficient, and fully independent loading and unloading directly on-site—no additional lifting equipment required.
Our drivers are highly trained professionals, each holding a valid CPC licence and CPCS certification for Hiab operation to ensure full compliance with industry regulations and guarantee that every delivery is handled with the utmost care and competence.
As a FORS-accredited operator, we’re committed to safety, compliance, and delivering a professional service every time. Whether you're working on a large-scale development or a smaller project, you can count on us to deliver materials on time, safely, and with minimal disruption to your site operations.
Installation & Contracts
At Structural Stairways, every site installation is overseen by our experienced in-house Contracts Managers, each dedicated to the successful delivery of individual projects. This hands-on approach ensures clear communication, consistent quality, and seamless coordination from start to finish.
Our site teams are fully qualified and safety-certified, holding CSCS and SSSTS cards relevant to their trades. They are also trained and accredited in the safe use and erection of access equipment, including PASMA and IPAF certifications.
Our Contracts Managers are well-versed in the preparation and management of design risk assessments and fully understand their responsibilities under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations. Their expertise ensures that all projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with industry standards.
We maintain a comprehensive inventory of access and installation equipment, all of which is regularly tested and meticulously maintained to support safe and effective on-site operations.
